This product started with the idea of traditional dyeing technique, which has been called 'Marbling'.
As I borrowed the method and fundamental principle from one of well-known art painting skill, it was created through almost the same process, although it is 3D objects rather than 2D on paper or fabrics. In that sense, the white stool that I initially made plays a role of canvas instead of 2D materials. As a result of the unique patterns, each product has own individuality in terms of their appearance. Sometimes the arbitrary improvisation failed, so it reminded imperfection on the surface such as awful smudge, dirty stains or just wrong combinations of colors, however it also shows the beauty of randomness. Therefore, I think the products interpret distinctive perspective on the beauty, and possibility of tangibles' individuality that includes imperfection and flaw. So, their looks just directly represent how they were made, what they are, some people may just hate it, or some like it.
