This terraced house in North West London had not been modernised for two generations. The aim of the project was to utilise the space fully as well as to enlarge it.

On the ground floor, the front and the back reception rooms were joined together. The front reception was maintained as a living room, whereas the back one was changed into a children's play room.

A two storey extension was built at the back and a single storey one on a side. On the ground level, the space contains now a large kitchen as well as a dining area. A lot of light has been introduced thanks to Crittal doors and paneling and also three roof lights.

On the first floor, the new extension allowed for creation of an additional bedroom. In addition to this, a second double bedroom, a master bedroom and a family bathroom are on this level.

A new staircase was built to the second floor, where the loft has been enlarged by a rear dormer. The space was converted into a large bedroom with a study area and a shower room.
