한옥의 세칸집을 기본형태로하였다.

品자형 배치이다.

한칸은 침실, 한칸은 식당, 한칸은 욕실이다.

각각 떨어져있는 세칸을 ㄱ자 복도로 연결했다.

대지를 반층씩 세 단계로 나누어서 가장 아랫대지는 수직으로 세칸을 쌓고, 반 층위의 대지는 2층과 한칸을 별개로 두고, 가장 윗대지는 수평으로 세칸을 놓아 전세대가 다 다르게 배치될 수 있도록 하였다.

전 대지를 성토한 후 시멘트블럭 계단을 설치하여 대지 전체가 건물과 하나가되는 기단으로 만들어 바닷쪽 전망을 볼 수 있도록 하였다.

각 세대별로 수공간을 두고 레스토랑을 향하는 길목은 호수를 따라가게 하였다.

Mono Funny (guesthouse) is based on se-kan( three kan) house of Korean traditional house.
(kan is a unit of measuring floor area of Korean traditional house. )

Its floor plan forms a Chinese character ‘品’.

The first kan is bedroom, the second is kitchen and the third is bathroom. These individual spaces are connected by a corridor whose form resemble Korean character ‘ㄱ’.

The landscape of the site has three levels and each level has a half floor height difference. On the lowest level each kan sits on top of each other, and on the midlevel, two kan is arranged vertically and one kan is separated from the others. On the highest level, three kans are on the same level. Therefore each guestroom unit with three kan has individual and particular spatial arrangement.

The site is raised by fill-up and cement block laid in order to allow the ocean view. The cement block steps become a foundation of individual guestroom unit which makes the site and architecture become one entity.

The individual unit has own water pond. From the entrance a lake leads to the restaurant.
