This project is located in the leafy area of Aberdeen Park in Highbury, Islington.

The brief was to re-integrate the existing basement flat back into the house with a completely new layout and to bring in as much natural light as possible in this deep plan.

The new layout locates the living area at the rear with direct access to the garden through industrial style Crittal doors. New internal folding doors separated the bedroom from the living room, but also allows light to flood through when open.

White washed Dinesen floors, minimalist new stairs and bespoke gas fireplace give the flat a fresh Scandinavian look that the client wanted.
