The sitting and dining room are open plan. Designed by Keir Townsend, the bespoke floor in European oak was oiled and bleached to accomplish this subtly contrasting style. The chairs are upholstered in a rich velvet with a special waterproof finish. The copper sideboard is from Italian manufacturer Laura Meroni in collaboration with Keir Townsend. The chandelier is the creation of lighting designer Kevin Reilly – the frame is handcrafted in bronze with real wax holders and LED bulbs. The stunning pair of table lamps have a moonstone and bronze base with linen shades to enhance the natural light of the space.
The biggest challenge in the entrance hall was putting up the 120 kg moonstone chandelier made in the United States. The console table – a cast metal tube base with a petrified wood top - was commissioned by Keir Townsend. The floor is made up of black and white ceramic tiles with an elegant border.
Townsend created a luxurious feel in this bedroom using a subtle range of richly textured fabrics and finishes.
The button velvet headboard is framed in walnut wood and back-painted glass of a linen colour creating a contrast which adds to the cocooning ambiance.
Bronzed pendant Italian glass lights hang on either side of the headboard. Accents of red add a touch of colour through the clever use of accessories and cushions. The cushions are by Aviva Stanoff for Keir Townsend using embossed silk and silk dupion.
The second bedroom is more masculine in style but again uses a rich range of textures and finishes to create a luxurious but warm effect.
The walls are covered in a tobacco coloured linen fabric. The bespoke cupboards are made from veneered wenge and the bed case stand is made of woven leather.
The floor lamp is made of brass with brass inset, with a dark honey silk cord wrapped around the arm.
The bathroom includes two washbasins from Villeroy & Bosch. The taps, in chrome with wenge inset, are made in France.
